Digital billboards
The short answer
The spec
A roadside digital bulletin is a 14:48-proportion LED face 14:48 selling 8-second spots in a rotating loop, usually shared with up to seven other advertisers. Exact pixel dimensions vary by owner and unit; Lamar and OUTFRONT both publish spec sheets, and you should design to the sheet for the specific unit, not a generic template Lamar Advertising 2026 OUTFRONT Media 2026.
Share-of-loop changes effective cost
Quoted flight prices buy a slot in the loop, not the whole screen. One slot in an 8-spot loop puts you on screen roughly 1/8 of the time; if a rep quotes extra slots, your effective cost per on-screen second falls but your flight cost rises linearly. Ask for the loop length, spot length and slot count in writing; two units with identical 4-week prices can differ 2x in delivered screen time.
